DAS is one of the two first insurance companies in France to specialise in legal protection. It is also a heavyweight for landlord insurance, and Covéa Group's specialised business unit for financial loss insurance. A subsidiary of MMA, its products and services are distributed by tied agents, brokers and large accounts.

Although a leader in legal protection for business and professionals, DAS also deals with individuals, associations and local authorities. It offers solutions for all legal matters and supports customers from when the moment they seek legal counsel to the moment a legal dispute is judged and damages are paid.

It also develops contracts and indemnity guarantees covering the breakage, loss or theft of high-tech products or means of payment, event cancellations, and even budget overspending for marketing campaigns. Finally, DAS offers landlords a complete range of insurance products for unpaid rent and damaged premises.

In 2009, DAS underwrote gross premiums of 196.6 million euros, up 18% due to strong growth in financial loss insurance, which now accounts for half of its business.
